Richard Feyman was not only one of the 20th century's greatest physicists and thinkers, he was also a wonderful character. His books, both serious and anecdotal, served as inspiration for thousands. This site celebrates his life. It is highly recommended, and as a bonus contains some new Feynman stories by Al Seckel, author of this web site.

Science and Pseudoscience

Tired of people asking you about your star sign?  Fed-up with the ever increasing amount of irrational thinking?  Or do you just want to find out the answer to some of today's most popular pseudomysteries (yes, they have all been solved for the most part), i.e., the Bermuda Triangle, Uri Geller, ESP, astrology, UFOs, etc.  Here are some excellent recommendations for the straight scoop.

CSICOP

The Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal (CSICOP) consists of scientists, magicians, educators, and others, who critically evaluate paranormal claims. The Committee publishes a journal, The Skeptical Inquirer (not to be confused with the National Enquirer!). They also have affiliated local groups for those people who wish to be socially acquainted with other like-minded people, or who just want to find out the answers, because they can't figure it out themselves.
